Paparazzi photographer James Ambler was working as a paparazzi agency in New York City. There is one time where he was given tips on where Angelina Jolie was staying and he followed around the city by bicycle for several days and he got to know her drivers and bodyguards.

Before James published first photos of Jolie, Jolie's team had a deal with him where he would be offered some exclusive photos of Jolie if he can manage to distract other paparazzi to stop following them.

One day as he was doing his paparazzi thing, his bike's tire got punctured and hence, he unable to chase her car as usual. To his surprise, Jolie's car stopped next to him and Jolie rolled down the window and ask him whether he needs a ride.
James took her offer and he recalled, 'It was bizarre being in the car. When you're in it it's just like being in a fishbowl, and watching the cars and paps going wild on the outside, I can see how annoying that would be, endlessly.'
