Angelina Jolie was considered to direct Captain Marvel, which later shown in 2018.
According to rumours, she was offered for $20 million to direct. The reason she was chosen is because of her directorial experience in Unbroken and they needed a female director.
A source revaled, "She (Jolie) never thought she'd be in such huge demand as a director, and to be courted by Marvel after the Sony fiasco is a huge pat on the back".
