During an interview with People, Angelina Jolie tells that she is grateful to have met Salma Hayek at a later stage in her life.

She shared, "I think it’s so nice we met at this later stage in our life. Because we’ve been through so many similar things, experienced different things, and somehow have landed as older women in a very similar place."

Hayek then responded, "Even though I’m much older than her, by the way".

Jolie laughed, "Not that much older!. To appreciate that friendship and that bond and that understanding — I haven’t had that kind of a connection in my life."

Hayek agrees with her, "It’s hard to find that connection. And I think that’s what part of the movie is also about, how difficult it is to communicate, to connect."

Angelina Jolie interviewed Salma Hayek for The Cut magazine, where Salma shared that she felt “so free” as an actress working under Jolie’s direction.

Salma shared, "I don’t think I could have done it with anyone else. I’ve never felt so free in my life as an actress. You gave me everything I ever needed. I was spoiled by the process. My co-star, Demián Bichir, felt the same way. This was also the first time that I was given the choice of the actor I played opposite — the first time I was involved or consulted or asked about it. And I didn’t even ask for it."

Jolie responded, "That’s crazy considering your career and your life. Also, it’s not about having the power to be consulted; it’s that when things are so intimate, it’s really important that the actors have at least a say as to why they might connect to someone else."

Angelina Jolie reveals where her new home will be

During an interview with L'Officiel on Wednesday, September 9, Angelina Jolie was asked whether she could see herself relocating to New York instead of Los Angeles in the future.

Jolie replied, "Out of the States more, I think. I don't really plan to have a base. I'd like to have a home base for my family, a place where some of the mom stuff and the family photos are. And then I'd like to be a bit nomadic for a while."
