Angelina Jolie was rumoured to act as Marilyn Monroe in an adaptation of Andrew O'Hagan's The Life And Opinions Of Maf The Dog, And Of His Friend Marilyn Monroe in 2010.
George Clooney was in the list to act as Monroe's close friend Frank Sinatra.
But it didn't work out.
At the UK premiere of her spy thriller "Salt", Angelina was surprised with this report, saying, "It's really funny because I have just heard about this for the first time today. It's news to me. I'm flattered I suppose."
