Angelina Jolie designed Suleika Jaouad’s Oscars Dress

Angelina Jolie designed Suleika Jaouad’s Oscars Dress under her new fashion label Atelier Jolie. Suleika's dress is 100 percent silk fabric.

Jolie tells Vogue, “I have such deep admiration for Suleika and the way she lives her life—how she meets difficulty with strength and grace".

"[She’s a] brilliant creative force who inspires everyone who knows her. I would have dressed her for anything she needed; It should never be about the dress, but how anything worn feels like an extension of the person.”

“I wanted a look inspired by Suleika’s creativity and her love. She is a painter, and so it felt right to have her gown used as a canvas.”

To create this, Jolie teamed up with American artist Chaz Guest. Jolie explained, “Chaz and I have known each other for years, and I knew he would approach this with the dedication and intention needed to feel right".

Guest was nervous when he started drawing on the dress because he was not familiar with painting on silk. Rather, he was used to drawing on canvas.

He shared his moment, “I was not familiar with painting on silk, and I was nervous because I didn't want to mess up. But I put on Jon's music, and didn't think, and went with the full inspiration and moved as fast as I could.”

Angelina Jolie took Old English lessons for her role in Beowulf

Angelina Jolie took Old English lessons for her role as Grendel's Mother in Beowulf (2007).

A source tells British newspaper The Sunday Times, "Angelina took it very seriously, working with a voice coach and an Anglo-Saxon expert to get it right, or as close as we can to understand a thousand years later."

"It has been cleaned up a little to avoid the need for subtitles, but it's rooted in the original dialect."

Angelina Jolie went for hundred auditions when she was young but was rejected due to these reasons

Angelina Jolie is now very famous and many know her for her beauty in the past and present but she had her ups and downs.

She went for hundred auditions when she was young but was rejected due to these reasons.

She was asked this question, "Are you someone who has always auditioned well?".

She answered, "No. I think I was starting to audition around 16, 17, and would be going out for the girlfriend or the girl in high school. And I was just never that girl. I was always told that I was too dark. I went through a period, years ago, when I was told I was too ethnic. Isn't that strange? Now I'm not ethnic enough on occasion. But there wasn't something regular enough about me; it just didn't fit. I went on a hundred auditions; my mom and I actually checked off the hundredth. I think my first job was as a crank addict in a film, and then my second job was, like, a cyborg. So it was clear that my career was going to be full of very bizarre, strange women—which ended up being the ones I liked anyway".

Angelina Jolie didn't like her own voice in Shark Tale

Angelina Jolie was the voice behind Lola in Shark Tale.

In an interview, she revealed that she was given the chance to choose which fish she wanted to potray, "When I was invited in to meet with [the producers] of 'Shark Tale,' they brought me into this room and there were all these different pictures of fish".

"And they were going to explain to me which fish was what they wanted me to do, and I kind of looked around and I saw this fish that I could see Will [Smith] doing. And then I saw this fish with this big red mouth and pointy eyebrows and I thought, 'They can talk as long as they want. I know I'm that fish.' That was my fish."

She joked, "My mom actually said, 'I don't know why you're the bad fish, you're a good person".

Jolie didn't like her own voice and wanted to change. "I hate my own voice. Like most people, I listen to myself on a phone or on an answering machine and think, 'Ugh.' So the first time I did it I came in trying to make [different] voices. I felt safer changing my voice, but they didn't let me. They wanted it to just be my voice."
