Salma Hayek tells what she loves about Angelina Jolie

During an interview at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Salma was asked about what she loves of being friends with Angelina Jolie.

She replied, "Everything. She's been very, very enriching in my life, in so many ways — as mothers, you know. Most of all, as artists."

Both of them got closer and close over time and she added,  “And it's just natural. It's just something that flows".

Both of them acted together in 2021 The Eternals and in 2022, Salma acted in Without Blood where Jolie was the director and Salma perceived Jolie as the best director.

Actress Bai Ling was attracted to Angelina Jolie when both of them acted in Sky Captain. 

She told Us Weekly, "I felt this energy between us, when we look at each other there's an energy, an attraction. Her eyes transfer a sexual energy to me that makes her irresistible."

She recalled, "Angelina said, 'Next time we'll play lovers.'"

Bai Ling continue, "We could have hooked up, but it just wasn't the right time or place. But she told me, "My heart's open to you.’"

Then Bai Ling added, "She is like me. She is totally open sexually.”

"I've always thought Brad [Pitt] was the sexiest man on the planet. So now that Brad and Angelina are together, now maybe I could experience both at the same time!"

When Angelina Jolie was small, she admired Jane Fonda. 

She tells her reason, "When Jane Fonda would show up, I'd always want to see what she looked like. I found her fascinating. "Well, being a woman, she looked a certain way — that is, she was beautiful, had a beautiful face and figure. I think my father had a crush on her, too. But it's always more interesting to see how women look, because we can vary our hair and clothes . . . all a man can pretty much do is a beard".

"But beyond that, it was Jane's courage and convictions, her standing up and speaking at a time when she was supposed to just keep quiet and look like a successful actress — that's what I admired about her then."

Angelina Jolie rejected a superhero role before signed up as Thena in Eternals.

She decided to accept Thena role in Eternals because, she said, 

"I don't usually lean towards superhero or sci-fi films. It's not usually what I'm looking to do. It felt like something else was happening in this film, though. It was very character-driven."

Apart from that, she loves that Eternals represent characters as family, "It's not one of us in front and other characters behind. It's this really equal family. And I wanted to be a part of this family."

Angelina Jolie was replaced by a Brit model Karen Elson as the face of St John because she was too famous. 

She was the face for St John for three years but her fame overshadowed the label.

St John's Chief Executive Glenn McMahon said, "We wanted to make a clean break from actresses and steer away from blondes and cleanse the palette".

"It was a great run we had. Three years is a long time to maintain any campaign, and we felt it was time to do something new and different."

After Angelina Jolie's role in "Girl, Interrupted", she finds that the role she took for Gone in 60 seconds will be something different.

She explained, "I want to play a character, I want to go crazy and I want to play with cars; if that means I don't have an image as a serious actress then fine".

"It was script that they gave me that was nothing but Ferraris, Nic Cage and Giovannie Ribisi and that sounded like a good idea. It's a fun movie and I tried just to have fun".

Jolie was taught on how to hotwire cars for her role, saying, "They really did teach us, which is great. That's one of the greatest things about my job is that you get to learn all these different skills you never thought you would".

Drake posted a photo on the Instagram (2017) and tagged Angelina Jolie, with the caption, "stood me up" which left fans thinking whether there were something going on between them.

A source close to Angelina tells,“No, Angelina didn’t stand Drake up. There was no rendezvous planned, she doesn’t even know Drake! The first Angelina heard about the Instagram post was when Pax told her — him and Maddox are crazy about Drake’s music and they think he’s super cool. Angelina thought the post was hilarious and flattering, too — although Drake’s not her type, she does think he’s really handsome so she got a kick out of it. Maddox and Pax keep begging Angelina to reach out to Drake and meet up with him, because they think it would be the most awesome thing ever if their mom was dating Drake.”

“However, sadly for the boys, it’s just not going to happe. Angelina doesn’t want to date anyone right now and if she did, she would want a low profile relationship out of the spotlight. So, Maddox and Pax have to settle for just teasing their mom instead, which they’re doing non-stop — Maddox even secretly changed Angelina’s cellphone ring to ‘Hotline Bling,’ and him and Pax are in stitches now every time she gets a call.”
