Angelina Jolie arrives in Yemen as special envoy for the U.N.

Angelina Jolie arrives in Yemen as special envoy for the U.N. She wants to help vulnerable people in Yemen. She will be visiting them and hopes her visit would draw attention to growing humanitarian needs in Yemen, ahead of the annual High-Level Pledging Conference for Yemen on 16 March.

Angelina Jolie continues to support to protect the forest and wildlife in Battambang through Maddox Jolie Pitt Foundation (MJP Foundation).

When she came to visit on February 24, she motivated the rangers to continue to work hard to protect the forest and wildlife in Samlot district.

According to MJP Foundation country director Kung Munichan, Jolie has been giving her support for the last 15 years and spend about half to one million dollars per year for this conservation.

Munichan said, “The rangers are paid by the government already but Jolie pays them an extra $150 to $200 per month each depending on their rank. She also supports food for them when they are on patrol in the forest or awards them when they catch a criminal in the forest.”

Angelina Jolie was spotted in front of the Angkor Wat temple. Many were suprised with her appearance.

Tk-tuk driver Sen Soeu said yesterday, “I was very surprised to see the American movie star by coincidence on Monday when she walked out from Angkor Wat. I ran up to her and asked to take a photo with her and she took one with me.”

“Actually, I wanted to ask her more questions but I couldn’t do it. Anyway, it was good she allowed me to take a photo".

Tour guide Mom Sopheaktra said, “I saw Angelina Jolie yesterday in front of Angkor Wat at 8am. I asked to take a photo with her and after doing so she walked away.”
