Angelina Jolie spat on Colin Farrell's face that was not in the script during a scene for filming a scene for Alexander.
In the movie, Angelina acted as Olympias, the mother of Colin Farrell's character Alexander the Great. They were only a year apart in age.
During one intense scene, Alexander calls her a "monster" and "heartbreaker". Olympias slapped him before spitting at him. The spitting part was not in the script.
Jolie explained about the incident, "That was improvised. That just happened. And me spitting on him just happened".
"It was when they were fighting, and it actually came out of him disrespecting her. In fact, it was a crass thing, and it angered me."
Colin was not upset and even praised her, "She’s such a f**king brilliant actor, such a powerhouse. She created such a definitive character and put such an incredible and individual seal on it".
"To look in her eyes and see the way she looked and the way she held herself, with such regality, it was easy. I didn't find it a stretch."
