Angelina Jolie attended Palm Springs International Film Festival on Friday. She wore all white, blazer as outer layer with slacks.

At the event, she was honored with the Desert Palm Achievement for Best Actress. In her speech, she said, "I am very honored to be here tonight with so many artists I have long admired".

"But to everyone who is there as a support to a celebrated artist, tonight and every night, who is there with kindness and understanding, thank you. You make everything possible.

Jolie's godmother Jacqueline Bisset was also there and she present the Desert Palm Achievement Award to Jolie.

Later on, Jolie's daughter Zahara joined her for another event at Palm Springs Convention Center.

Angelina Jolie's brother James Haven tied knot with longtime girlfriend Romi Imbelli. The wedding took place in Laguna Beach, Calif on August 12.

Jolie was not there. Guests included father Jon Voight and several close family members.

Romi shared her good news on her Instagram and wrote, "Happy Birthday to my father who is no longer with us. Today, Jamie’s mom is singing for us as they celebrate in heaven together. We are both learning to accept love from someone, this was a special and private day in these pics. I look forward to celebrating with loved ones in the coming year. Happy New Year. I am grateful for the guidance my father, who was born on this day, has provided me even from beyond the grave. Jamie's mom dedicated this song to us years before she passed away. On this special day, we were aware that our mom and dad were present with us in spirit".

Reason behind Brad Pitt wants to settle divorce battle with Angelina Jolie. A source told MailOnline today, "They are looking to get married in the next year and Brad has settled because he wants to keep his children on side for his new marriage to go ahead".  

"Apparently Ines is keen to have children too and pressured him to get it all sorted out as soon as possible".

Brad and girlfriend Ines have been dating for almost two years and they are staying together.

Another source said, "Brad will be relieved that he can finally move on and marry again. He has wanted his divorce settled long before now but he believes Angelina has been dragging her feet".

"Angelina will argue she has been fighting for the best deal for their family, but whatever the truth, it ultimately clears the path for him walking down the aisle with Ines".

"He will hope that he can build bridges with his children now that the divorce is finalised, but that looks like a long hard road".
