Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reach divorce settlement. They have signed off their divorce on Monday, December 30.

"This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over."

One source said, "She doesn’t speak ill of [Pitt] publicly or privately. She’s been trying hard to be light after a dark time".

"The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues".

"The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification."

Angelina Jolie would like to do something funny for her next project

Angelina Jolie would like to do something funny for her next project. She shared,  "I just wrote to a friend of mine today, Eunice, who's in Liverpool, and she said, 'Why aren't you doing — you should do something funny.' I wrote back and I said, 'I'd like to find something funny,' but I'm not sure."

"I'm never sure how funny I am. I would love to do something fun and light. I think I'd have to be the straight man. I feel like that's what I am. I get that. In Maleficent, it was like, Okay, I'll be the straight person".

"There are so many wonderful directors I'd love to have a chance to work with. I'd like to just be allowed to play in this arena. I'd love for people to reach out and be willing to invite me to play with them and create with them. So we'll see. Yeah, comedy, maybe."

Angelina Jolie didn't know she has to sing in "Maria"

Angelina Jolie didn't know she has to sing in "Maria". She told Best magazine, "I made the mistake in the beginning of thinking, when he asked me to sing a little, ‘I like movie singing.' I could sing a bit I guess. I very quickly realised that you can't fake sing opera. Not that I wanted to fake sing anything, but I didn't really think I was going to be asked to actually sing".

"Somehow, it didn't cross my mind. I don't know why. I didn't completely understand until I was standing in this room and Pablo (Larrain, director) had met so many different teachers and he found one to begin."

Angelina started crying as soon as she had to sing during that first lesson.

Then she added, "The first time, he said, 'OK. Plant your feet'".

"He took me seriously as a singer, which was very moving to be already".

"He said, 'Take a deep breath and then start to make sounds' – I started crying.

"Because I think we all hold so much in that we don’t really let out".

"We don’t let our full voice out."

"That being said, she is certainly looking at all the offers and discussing them with Knox and her team of agents, because he does want to get out there. He’s got a big interest in music and even acting, so building up his portfolio is the smart thing to do. It’s just a matter of taking the right steps at the right time".

Angelina Jolie's late mother used to keep her movies on the television all the time

During an interview, Angelina Jolie shared that her late mother Marcheline Bertrand used to keep her movies on the television all the time just to hear her voice in the house.

Then she said, "Isn’t that sweet? Only the nice ones, though – 'Maria' would have made her too sad. I don’t think she’d like to see me die."

As for Jolie, she never thought she could be anyone's mom. She wrote on Time's Parents newsletter in 2020, "I was not a very stable youth. In fact, I never thought I could be anyone’s mom".

"I remember the decision to become a parent. It wasn’t hard to love. It wasn’t hard to dedicate myself to someone and something greater than my life."

"What was hard was knowing that from now on I needed to be the one to make sure everything was okay. To manage it and make it work. From food to school to medical. Whatever would come. And to be patient. I realized I stopped my constant daydreaming, instead staying always ready for any break into what I was doing or thinking to answer a need. It was a new skill to acquire."

"I didn’t know how much I had lost my voice. Maybe when I lost my mother, maybe when someone hurt me, whatever it was, the different things that had made it smaller and locked it away".

Angelina Jolie apologized to audience (extras) in case she sang wrong notes loudly

Angelina Jolie apologized to audience (extras) in case she sang wrong notes loudly.

During an interview with Netflix's Queue, Jolie shared, "The funny thing is, for it to be convincing, you have to be very loud when you sing opera, as loud as you can be. Whether you feel confident or not, you still have to be very loud".

Director Pablo Larraín did a wonderful thing in that he cast a group [of extras] that stayed in the audience [throughout filming]."

"They were with me through a few performances, and these wonderful people would become so essential to the piece. I think the first day I met them I said, 'I apologize for what’s about to happen in case I hit the wrong notes loudly.' "

"It helped me [that] I was performing to a real audience. They were really kind people who knew that I was trying my best, and I wasn’t an opera singer but I was learning. We were connected in the attempt and in the storytelling. Their understanding and support were everything."

Jerod Harris/Getty

He explained to PEOPLE, "She started from ground zero. She had never sung before. I don't think I've ever seen someone make such a huge difference from the first day to the last day."

"Her desire to do a great job overrode anything that might stop her."

Eric explained that training someone to sing opera is a unique experience, as there's rarely a steady beat to follow. He tells, "It ebbs and it flows. It goes a little faster here, a little slower there. So to do that, I mean, you have to really be musical."

"It was the most thrilling day of all of our time spent together. I was like, 'This is it. She can do it. She's the perfect person to play this role.' And I'm someone who loved Maria Callas — I really did. She was one of my favorite opera singers, and so it really touched me that she was able to do it like this."

"I feel like anything she decided to do, she probably could do. She's a remarkable human being. She really inspired me to always give 150% every minute of the day, because she does."
