Angelina Jolie's kids saw the pain that she usually hides from them

Angelina Jolie's kids saw the pain that she usually hides from them when her eldest sons, Maddox and Pax were working as as production assistants on set for "Maria".

She explained, "The character [Callas] has a lot of pain and they've of course seen me go through a lot of things, but they hadn't experienced me expressing a lot of the pain that usually a parent hides from a child".

"So they were there to witness some of that, but then we would hug or they would bring me cups of tea."

Last summer, she told "The Hollywood Reporter" that she will not prevent her family from coming to her sets, "I'm not that person".

Talking about emotional scenes, she said that probably one of the more intense things was that usually when she is expressing that much pain, she will be not showing in front of her children but usually during shower.
