Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt with residents of the SOS Children's Village

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visited the orphanage at SOS Children's Village in Amman, Jordan.

They went there when they received an invitation from Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan, who is Honorary Chairman of SOS Children's Villages Jordan.

Talking about SOS, Angelina Jolie said "The SOS model of providing care for children without parental care is one of the best, as they are still in a family setting within their own country," said Jolie. "We hope more people learn about their programs and give them support."

Just a note -- SOS Children's Villages isn't exactly an orphanage. They have over 500 villages in 132 countries around the world. Each village has homes with "mothers," and they try to keep siblings together. They also do family strengthening programs and relief efforts in places where there have been crises. They do help orphaned and abandoned children -- but it is not an orphanage exactly.
