Angelina Jolie explains why she chooses an archaic form of getting tattoos rather than a modern one

Angelina Jolie explains why she chooses an archaic form of getting tattoos rather than a modern one. Jolie had tattoos from renowned master Ajarn Noo Kanpai in 2004. He flew from Bangkok to Siem Reap in Cambodia, where she was filming. The three Sak yant tattoos were applied to her back.

Jolie shared her tattoo experience, "I think a lot, it's an amazing experience. There's something tribal about getting a tattoo".

"There's something beautiful about that moment and exciting about it where you feel like you're actually making it. It's a prayer protection for my family".

"So, it felt like I was making a sacrifice for them. I like rituals".

Jolie shared that she thought she was going to pass out when she saw the bucket but master Ajarn Noo Kanpai made her kneel and pray through the whole thing.
