She posted on her Instagram, "My heart goes out to the people of Syria and Turkey. It’s hard to grasp the unimaginable pain so many families are suffering at this time. I was sent this by a friend, from inside North West Syria. I have chosen to support @the_whitehelmets and to @turkishphilanthropyfunds . I hope others consider giving too, so they can continue their lifesaving work.

Brad Pitt demanded emergency hearing to depose the Russian Oligarch who bought his ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s stake in their French winery.
Pitt wants the information before the hearing, which is scheduled for March, to determine if the case will continue to be fought in California.
Pitt claims the purported sale last October not only violated their agreement that “they would never sell their respective interests in Miraval without the other’s consent” but also denied him his guaranteed right of first refusal, which he claims he would have exercised.
Angelina Jolie is in Iraq to meet 2014 genocide survivors. Jolie and human rights activist Nadia Murad, who escaped from ISIS captivity, visited Murad's childhood home and village as well as other key areas in the region where the nonprofit is leading recovery efforts, the organization announced in a press release.
Jolie said in a statement on Wednesday, "I'm honored to return to Iraq, this time to support the work of my friend Nadia Murad and other local Yazidis who are rebuilding their lives and communities after enduring horrors".
"I have witnessed the progress they have made, but also the need for long-term international commitment to support their work and leadership. Yazidi survivors continue to struggle with trauma, insecurity, displacement, and slow progress on reparations. I met families who are still searching for answers about their loved ones who are missing, and others who still lack support to meet their basic needs."
