Angelina Jolie's late mother Marcheline Bertrand taught her to be warm and gentle with her kids.

She told the Australia's Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, "My mother was very gentle"

"I can be many things in my work and in my life, but I am very warm and gentle with my children. That kindness and warmth is a foundation that's unbelievably important".

"She gave me many other things and taught me many lessons. But if you don't have that base, to feel valued and safe, then it's hard for any of the other messages or lessons to land.".

 "I hope that I've been able to be that (for my own children), that I'm that warm, safe place. Because - and it's maybe a funny thing to say - but considering what my different jobs are, or what people think they know of you, or what you feel you have to be in the world, in truth none of those things are what you really are. Who you are to your children is everything."

Angelina Jolie's father Jon Voight again blasts on her

Angelina Jolie's father Jon Voight again blasts on her. During an interview with Variety, Voight criticized his daughter for her opinions about Israel's war with Hamas where she wrote on her Instagram last year, 

Voight said, "She has been exposed to propaganda. She's been influenced by antisemitic people. Angie has a connection to the U.N., and she's enjoyed speaking out for refugees. But these people are not refugees."

Then he continues, "I love my daughter" and does not "want to fight" with her. But he continued, "She's ignorant of what the real stakes are and what the real story is because she's in the loop of the United Nations."

When asked why he doesn’t try and speak to her about their political differences rather than attack them on social media, Voight explained: “It’s hard for me to talk to her about this. She doesn’t really want to share this kind of stuff, because she’s of another mind about it.”

A source close to Jolie told Variety that the Maleficent actor “wishes [Voight] well but does not speak about him publicly.”

Voight also a big supporter to ex president Donald Trump.
