Brad Pitt was caught red-handed by his then partner Angelina Jolie for massaging the back of their young nanny in their twins babies's bedroom according to US magazine.
An insider said, "She got right in Brad's face, screaming at the top of her lungs, and told the nanny to get out of her house and never come back".
Jolie was pissed off by his actions and quickly slapped him. One source told Daily Star “Angie snapped and slapped him across the face. Brad was stunned".
Writer and Director Barry Jenkins moderated a post-screening AFI Fest. Jolie, director Pablo Larraín were there.
Barry Jenkins praised Angelina Jolie, "The performance is so striking. It’s almost like, to me, Jesse Eisenberg is Mark Zuckerberg. Denzel Washington is Malcolm X, in a certain way. And I think you are Maria Callas in the same way. In this movie, in so many moments, you are performing with your whole body."
He also joked that he helped Jolie to get the role, "You all have to thank me for this film existing".
Then he explained, "On September 10, 2021, I tweeted, ‘After “Jackie” and “Spencer,” there’s a Warholian quality to this aspect of Pablo’s work that will likely include one more single name portrait of a lady. Not sure which lady that will be, but I’ll be here for it.'"
"That did not happen. I did send the tweet, but Pablo did not see it".
Aggelina Papadopoulou, who acted as the young Maria Callas, went for audition, that was requesting for female singers aged 17 to 22 with brown hair.
She was surprised when she realized the Angelina Jolie is in the movie and she said this sort of opportunities do not always happen in Greece.
Regarding about meeting with Angelina Jolie for the first time, she said, “I saw her passing by my room, she saw I was inside and came back to talk to me. She hugged me and it was really sweet because in my mind she wasn’t an approachable person, she was a star and a diva like Callas. They have that similarity.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Angelina Jolie will receive Performer Tribute at the 2024 Gotham Awards in New York City for her performance as Maria Callas in Pablo Larraín's upcoming film Maria.
The event will take place at Cipriani Wall Street on December 2.
