Newly appointed Pope Leo XIV is related to Angelina Jolie

Newly appointed Pope Leo XIV is related to Angelina Jolie. Both of them are distantly related through shared French-Canadian ancestry.

Angelina Jolie's French-Canadian heritage comes from her mother, Marcheline Bertrand. 

Pope Leo also related to Madonna and Justin Bieber. Both Pope Leo XIV and Madonna are descendants of early French settlers in Quebec while both Pope Leo XIV and Justin Bieber are descendants of Zacharie Cloutier.
