Brad Pitt had flu-like symptoms when he joined Angelina Jolie for a trip to Ethiopia. Jolie was there to finalise the adoption of her first child. The month before their trip, Ethiopian Health Ministry reports that at least 40 people had died and 433 sick with highly infectious meningococcal meningitis over there.

He checked in to Cedars Sinai Medical Center when he return to the United States. He had been "diagnosed with a mild case of viral meningitis". He rest at home after come back from hospital.
