Angelina Jolie will act in a movie based on the novel “The Kept”. Besides acting, Jolie will also produce together with Alice Birch.
The novel tells about midwife Elspeth Howell who returns home and discovered that her husband and four of her children had murdered. Her son Caleb remained alive by hiding the kitchen pantry.
