There is one woman who made Angelina Jolie extremely jealous. The woman was French actress Marion Cotillard. She and Brad Pitt were filming "Allied" together in 2016.

In Alice Winocour’s Couture, Angelina Jolie acts as Maxine, who has come to Paris to shoot a lavish short while getting divorced and learning of a breast cancer diagnosis.
In this movie, Angelina has to learn French but she admitted that she is very shy when it comes to speaking French.
She told Deadline, "I speak very little and super shy. I understand more than I speak. I have continued some of my classes, but I’m still super shy. In the months leading up, we did classes and not just for the lines, but to just be speaking and then in my ADR, I was better."
"My French improved. I did my own dubbing".
"When something’s well-written, whether it’s in another language or in English, if it’s well-written, it just comes forward easily."
Angelina Jolie shared that her daughter Zahara returned to university and an ET interviewer asked how she felt about it. Jolie shared that she cried for three days straight.
Then she tells, "It changes. You know. The great thing is she's gonna return even more of a woman. Even more of a mind. Even more of a thinker".
"You're gonna learn so much in this extraordinary person she's gonna become. She's her own person."

Angelina Jolie wore her late mom's necklace during filming "Couture". Jolie's mother Marcheline Bertrand, died of ovarian and breast cancer in 2007. Her aunt and grandmother also died of the disease.
During an interview at the Toronto International Film Festival, Jolie became emotional when she shared that she wore her late mom's necklace while filming Couture" and then she tells what it means to her to wear it in the scenes.
She said, "I think it was hard, but it was also a way of communicating with her, you know and feeling very connected to all."
"So many people around the world. It is what unites us. We are in many ways, we're not alone in grief and people should remember that we isolate ourselves at times when we're grieving."
"We don't ask for help. We don't communicate when we're losing someone. We don't know how as much to connect to each other. And yet, it's the one thing we all are very united in loss and grief. And so, I felt very fortunate to be able to share with this crew and now with audiences which I hope for me, it's probably one of the intimate films I've ever done speaking to the audience and connecting to the audience".

She told E! News's Francesca Amiker when she was at the premiere of Couture at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, "She wears the same big black jacket through the entire movie. I think I'm the only one not dressed in fashion.”
"My character was slightly in a different world of horror movies, directing and life and death."
Then she shared that this movie is different than her other movies, she explained, "I think there’s a softness to this film—a connection to other women—that was different from something I’ve done before".
"I haven’t done a film so female, and we also had wonderful men in this film, but it’s very female and very united with females from different parts of the world."
