Aggelina Papadopoulou, who acted as the young Maria Callas, went for audition, that was requesting for female singers aged 17 to 22 with brown hair. 

She was surprised when she realized the Angelina Jolie is in the movie and she said this sort of opportunities do not always happen in Greece.

Regarding about meeting with Angelina Jolie for the first time, she said, “I saw her passing by my room, she saw I was inside and came back to talk to me. She hugged me and it was really sweet because in my mind she wasn’t an approachable person, she was a star and a diva like Callas. They have that similarity.”

The event will take place at Cipriani Wall Street on December 2.

According to "In Touch Weekly" report, Brad Pitt hates former wife Angelina Jolie so much, that he is recruiting people from Hollywood to deny Maria at the prestigious awards.

Source said, "Angie has some powerful friends too, but it’s Jen’s group that has been proven to be able to steer the course of the nomination process, which is exactly what they did two years ago".
