Angelina Jolie on filming intense doctor and hospital scenes in Couture

Angelina Jolie on filming intense doctor and hospital scenes in Couture.

She told Variety, "You recognize that life is fragile and time goes quickly, and people pass away that we can’t imagine the world could exist without. It’s not a singular experience. It’s hard not to feel very close to a crew and other actors in this kind of a piece."

The reason behind the ex-couple Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie wearing blood vials

Former couple Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie wore vials of each other’s blood. The news viral exaggerated that claimed that they were vampires and lived in a dungeon.

During an interview with Esquire, Billy explained the reason behind the blood vials, “It was Angie’s idea. We had to be apart a lot. So she said, When we’re apart, I thought this would be cool: She got two of those little lockets where you can open it up, put a picture of your grandma or whatever. And we got a little razor blade. We cut our fingers and we smeared a little blood on this locket, close it up, and wear it around your neck. It’s a romantic gesture."

They split after two years of marriage. Billy tells, "It was just that she wanted to live a different lifestyle, which was going around the world, working for the UN—doing great stuff".

"Me, I’m more of a here guy. But Angie is, to this day, one of my best friends. We talk all the time."

Angelina Jolie's advice to young women today

During a talk to Elle magazine (2017), Angelina Jolie offered her advice to young women today.

She tells, "Your intelligence is everything. Your mind and what you fill yourself with—you know, the woman that spends her day shopping is going to be that woman. And the woman that spends her day reading and traveling and learning and talking to people is going to be that woman. And that's the woman you really want to be [the second one]. I think we have to encourage young women to know that, because they're getting fed a lot of the other. And then with that, they'll know. They'll know, and they'll feel it. They'll do the work because they'll become more aware of the world."

Angelina Jolie's driver-bodyguard was taken into custody

Angelina Jolie's driver-bodyguard, Dmytro Pyshchikov, was taken into custody. He was stopped at a checkpoint during her visit to Ukraine.

Pyshchikov will be sent to a military training centre before heading to the front line, despite having explained that he has an exemption due to a spinal condition.

Source said, "The citizen, as a driver, was part of the group that accompanied the foreign actress Angelina Jolie."

"Neither she nor her representatives influenced the work of military personnel and civil servants of the TRC and the Recruitment Centre, as some posts on the Internet try to suggest."

"The plan is to complete training and serve in the army." This followed Pyshchikov being held out of contact at the army's Territorial Recruitment Centre (TRC).

Angelina Jolie shared her experiences during her visit to Mykolaiv and Kherson, Ukraine

Angelina Jolie shared her experiences during her visit to Mykolaiv and Kherson, Ukraine.

She wrote on her Instagram, "I visited Mykolaiv and Kherson in Ukraine this week to meet families living on the frontline. The threat of drones was a constant, heavy presence. You hear a low hum in the sky. It’s become known locally as a ‘human safari’, with drones used to track, hunt and terrorize people, constantly. There was a moment when we had to pause and wait while a drone flew overhead. I was in protective gear, and for me, it was just a couple of days. The families here live with this every single day".

"They’ve moved their schools, clinics and daycare into reinforced basements, determined that life will go on. It was hard but inspiring to witness. Many people spoke to me about the psychological burden of living under continual threat — and the deeper fear of being forgotten by the world".

Aimee Lou Wood revealed that Angelina Jolie offered her support while working on the set of Anxious People

Aimee Lou Wood revealed that Angelina Jolie offered her support while working on the set of Anxious People.

During an interview with  Harper's Bazaar, Aimee revealed that multiple crew members were shouting at her at the same time.

The actress spoke up, saying she could only concentrate if there was one voice guiding her and no hands waving in front of her.

Wood shared, "All I could see was Angelina giving me a thumbs up".

"She's possibly the most famous woman ever, but she’s so normal. I’m fairly certain she drives herself to set each day".

"I’ve spent years feeling unable to say anything like that for fear of seeming argumentative — but now I feel like I can take ownership of what I need to thrive, and tell people what won’t work for me."

She spent time with doctors, families, and volunteers who live each day under the constant threat of drones, shelling, and landmines that make it too dangerous for many to return home. In some areas, she saw nets placed over the streets to help protect people from drone strikes.

To cope with the constant danger, healthcare and education have moved into fortified underground areas, so that treatment and learning can go on in safer conditions. Angelina witnessed these efforts firsthand — a stark reminder of the toll of war and the strength of those who keep going despite it.

Angelina said, "The people of Mykolaiv and Kherson live with danger every day, but they refuse to give in. At time when governments around the world are turning their backs on the protection of civilians, their strength, and their support for each other is humbling. After nearly four years of conflict, exhaustion is visible, yet so too is determination. Families want safety, peace, and the chance to rebuild their lives."

Angelina Jolie talks about the movie, "Muganga"

Angelina Jolie talks about the movie, "Muganga".

She posted on her Instagram, "I don’t usually post about film, but this is less about film and more about a globally overlooked issue".

"Muganga: The One Who Treats is the story of surgeon Dr Denis Mukwege, who has operated on thousands of women suffering internal injuries and trauma from rape, during the brutal conflict in his homeland, the Democratic Republic of Congo. He recently screened the film in Kinshasa for the Congolese public and it will be screened for survivors in the coming weeks."

"This is not an issue isolated to the DRC, but a crime carried out globally. If global leaders were even a fraction as brave and committed as Dr Mukwege, then it might finally meet the response it deserves."
