Both Angelina Jolie and Jenny Shimizu acted in the movie, "Foxfire" in 1996. 

During an interview (2005), James Lipton asked whether Jolie fell in love with somebody during the filming "Foxfire".

Jolie responded, "I got very close to Jenny". 

James then asked, "Were you just promoting the film or were you talking from the heart?".

Jolie then said, "I would never do something like that. I thought she was a beautiful, magnificent woman and I didn't see, I just said it because it was what I felt".

James responded, "Not for its shock value."

Jolie said, "No. I always still find that strange that people get shocked by something like that".

Finn Bennett gushes about Angelina Jolie to Variety, "She really cares about fostering young actors. I feel really honored, really lucky to be here. I just wanted to ask how she does it all. Like, as you can see, this is crazy. And she deals with it so well, completely calmly. And I think that’s amazing."

Marie Colomb also was star-struck by Jolie, "She’s gorgeous, she’s super beautiful. I was looking at her and I was like, ‘Wow! It’s incredible, it’s unreal.’ And at the same time it’s funny because when I met her, I met a normal, nice human being. Then when you see the photos or videos afterwards, all my friends write to me like, ‘What is that?’ So, it’s pretty crazy but cool at the same time."

Angelina Jolie attended Cannes Film Festival 2025 on Friday and she wore strapless gown that was designed by Italian brand Brunello Cucinelli.

The lasttime she attended this film festival was in 2011. For this year, Jolie has been given the honorary title of "Godmother," which means she will present the 25th edition of the Trophée Chopard to rising stars Marie Colomb and Finn Bennett.

She told Variety, "I am honored to be Godmother at the Cannes Film Festival. I am pleased to have a moment to recognize young artists and their exceptional work."

"It was the first time I’d visited Angelina’s creative space, which is in a two-story building in Lower Manhattan once owned by Andy Warhol, where Jean-Michel Basquiat had his studio until his death there in 1988."

Angelina Jolie named Godmother of Trophée Chopard Award in Cannes. She will attend the 78th Cannes Film Festival to serve as the godmother of the 25th edition of the Trophée Chopard.

Caroline Scheufele, who is the Chopard copresident and artistic director said,  "I am so happy to welcome Angelina Jolie as our Trophée Chopard Godmother. Her amazing film career and dedication to making a difference in the world make her an ideal role model. I know the rising talents we honor this year will be inspired by her journey and advice."

Angelina Jolie is honored and said, "I am honored to be Godmother at the Cannes Film Festival. I am pleased to have a moment to recognize young artists and their exceptional work".

Trophée Chopard was created in 2001 and celebrates emerging international cinema talent, each year honoring one actress and one actor with promising careers.

Angelina Jolie rejected "Charlie's Angels" because of this reason

Back in 2000, Angelina Jolie was offered a role in the the movie, "Charlie's Angels" but she rejected it.

She told Premiere, "When [Columbia Pictures] sent me the script for Charlie’s Angels, they said there hadn’t been perfect, strong roles for women, that it would make me a big star, and that I would have a fun time doing it".

"All my roles in Gia, Playing By Heart, and The Bone Collector have been strong female. The idea of being a big STAR has absolutely NO APPEAL to me".

She decided to choose "Gone in 60 seconds" and said, "That was going to be my fun movie, and I was going to have fun doing it with guys".

Angelina Jolie thinks the world needs more wicked women

Angelina Jolie talked to Elle magazine about women described as witches. She thinks that women who run for political office in democratic countries are described as witches. Woman who stand up for human rights in many countries are still labeled “deviant,” “bad mothers,” “difficult,” or “loose.”

She thinks wicked women are just women who are tired of injustice and abuse. Women who refuse to follow rules and codes they don’t believe are best for themselves or their families. Women who won’t give up on their voice and rights, even at the risk of death or imprisonment or rejection by their families and communities.

Hence, she thinks that the world needs more wicked women.

Angelina Jolie will act as investment banker Zara in her new movie "Anxious People". In this movie, Zara (Jolie) chats with a group of strangers at an open house. Then a bank robber takes the group of people hostage and the plan end up failed.

The movie will be filled with humor, heart, chaos, and unexpected hope and is written by Oscar-nominated screenwriter David Magee.

Angelina Jolie gave birth to Shiloh in a small hospital in Africa

During a conversation with Vanity Fair (2008), Angelina Jolie revealed that she did not give birth to Shiloh in a fancy expensive hospital but rather in a small hospital in Africa.  She wanted to get far from paparazzi.

Jolie shared, "We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don’t think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing. We had wonderful doctors and nurses. It was lovely, very personal, all three in this sweet room. We had an American doctor with us, who had met the Namibian doctors, and they worked in tandem because it was a C-section and my first and we didn’t know the country. He spent a few weeks with us. There was only one pediatrician in town, and one anesthesiologist, who had to come in for that—you have to plan it.”

Jolie was also asked where does the name Shiloh come from. Jolie explained, “It’s a biblical name but we didn’t name her for that. It was a name my parents almost named their first child—there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying."

Angelina Jolie will act in new movie, "Anxious People". Marc Forster will be the director and some of the casts from "A Man Called Otto" will be joining too. David Magee and Neda Backman will be the executive directors.

In the past, Marc Forster was the director for Stranger Than Fiction, The Kite Runner, James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, World War Z and A Man Called Otto.

During an interview with Vanity Fair in 2008, Angelina Jolie revealed that she was using a system where she rewards her children with sticker stars, which can redeemed for treats. She finds that not only she able to control them but also teaches them about basics of capitalism.

And she said, “is how my mom raised me, which is to figure out who I was and try to enhance my individual personality and not get in the way of it".

“But I can really discipline the kids when I need to.”

Angelina Jolie and son Knox went grocery shopping at Lazy Acres Natural Market in LA on Thursday. Jolie was wearing all black, as always, her favourite color and wore sunglasses while Knox was wearing printed T-shirt and khakis pants.

As usual, as gentleman, Knox helped to push the trolley and they bought three bags of groceries. Knox has getting taller and taller, and now taller than his mom.
