Angelina Jolie's daughter Zahara had her first ears pierced when she was six years old. The procedure was done at a salon, near where they were staying in South-West London.

Since Zahara was only 6 years old that time, Jolie had to sign a parental consent form for the piercing.

Shiloh was also there but after after seeing her elder sister, Zahara in pain, Shiloh decided not to do the piercing.

One source told The Sun, "The eldest girl picked out some pretty 18-carat gold studs and gave them to her mum".

"The piercing gun was a bit too painful for her and she screamed then burst into tears. She was saying it felt like a stapler. So her little sister changed her mind about having hers done".

"There was something said about Daddy thinking they were too young to have it done but it was all said in good spirits. They all left with big smiles on their faces. Angelina bought them another little gift to make sure they both felt special".

When Zahara appeared at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards with her mother Jolie, she wore an array of piercings, 12 in one ear and 14 in the other, included septum piercing, that probably total up to 28.

Angelina Jolie enjoyed a lowkey holiday this year. During a talk with ET, she shared that she enjoyed her holiday season by staying home.

She said,"Just being home and being in pajamas. [It] was nice. Just quiet.”

Regarding about what she looks forward to in the new year, hers one are simple, she tells, "There's so many things that come to mind, but always just health — and health for the children and people you love".

During an interview with W Magazine, Angelina Jolie was asked whether she likes to play real people since she has played the model Gia Carangi and Cornelia Wallace in the past.

Jolie responded, "I do. I feel I’m good if I’ve come to care for them. I have to love them to do a good job, but you don’t want to make them saints. The more I learned about Maria, the more I felt she deserved empathy and understanding". 

"In those last years of her life, when she was so criticized and so alone, my goal was for the audience to please give her life a second look. Give her one more moment".

Jolie's acted as Maria Callas in the movie "Maria" and she was asked whether there is any particular piece of jewelry or a garment that connected her to Maria.

Jolie tells what her favourite was her robe that was handmade in Italy, crocheted. 

Jolie was also asked whether she always wanted to be an actor. Jolie did it because it was her mother's dream. Her mother stop acting after she divorced to focus on being a mother.

Then Jolie added, "She didn't make me feel like it was a sacrifice—she loved being a stay-at-home mom. But she really wanted me to be an actress. I don’t remember making the choice. I remember it made my mom happy. My mom was my manager, and we were a team. I always wanted to buy her a house, and I started to pay the bills. When my mom passed, it was harder for me to be an actress because I realized how much of it was for her".

Angelina Jolie attended Palm Springs International Film Festival on Friday. She wore all white, blazer as outer layer with slacks.

At the event, she was honored with the Desert Palm Achievement for Best Actress. In her speech, she said, "I am very honored to be here tonight with so many artists I have long admired".

"But to everyone who is there as a support to a celebrated artist, tonight and every night, who is there with kindness and understanding, thank you. You make everything possible.

Jolie's godmother Jacqueline Bisset was also there and she present the Desert Palm Achievement Award to Jolie.

Later on, Jolie's daughter Zahara joined her for another event at Palm Springs Convention Center.

Reason behind Brad Pitt wants to settle divorce battle with Angelina Jolie. A source told MailOnline today, "They are looking to get married in the next year and Brad has settled because he wants to keep his children on side for his new marriage to go ahead".  

"Apparently Ines is keen to have children too and pressured him to get it all sorted out as soon as possible".

Brad and girlfriend Ines have been dating for almost two years and they are staying together.

Another source said, "Brad will be relieved that he can finally move on and marry again. He has wanted his divorce settled long before now but he believes Angelina has been dragging her feet".

"Angelina will argue she has been fighting for the best deal for their family, but whatever the truth, it ultimately clears the path for him walking down the aisle with Ines".

"He will hope that he can build bridges with his children now that the divorce is finalised, but that looks like a long hard road".

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reach divorce settlement. They have signed off their divorce on Monday, December 30.

Jolie's lawyer James Simon tells PEOPLE in a statement, "More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family".

"This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over."

One source said, "She doesn’t speak ill of [Pitt] publicly or privately. She’s been trying hard to be light after a dark time".

"The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues".

"The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification."
