Angelina Jolie make sure the items she wore are not from animal cruelty

Angelina Jolie is a true humanitarian. On March 27, she was spotted carrying an Akris ecru horsehair handbag when she went outing with her children in Venice.

Before she use that handbag, she asked her assistant to speak to the designer to confirm that animals weren't mistreated!

HollywoodLife.com spoke to a PETA representative exclusively, "Angelina has proved time and time again to be a kind person - most recently when she insisted that the fur coat that she wore in Salt be faux. So it comes as no surprise that she was concerned about the origin of the horsehair in the bag that she was given. Our hope is that the designer respected her wishes and good intentions and told her the truth about the origins of the horsehair that he uses, since horsehair ordinarily comes from horses killed violently in slaughterhouses."
