David Oyelowo recruited his friend Angelina Jolie after she complained that she never received offers for independent film role.
When Oyelowo secured the script for Come Away, he remembered her complaints and offered her the role of the mother.
Jolie accepted and signed within just four days. Jolie played Rose Littleton, the grieving mother of Alice and Peter, who seek refuge in Wonderland and Neverland to escape a family tragedy in the 2020 movie, "Come Away".
